Fem kända svenska formgivare, nämligen Carina Seth Andersson, Matti Klenell,
Stina Löfgren, Gabriella Gustafson och Mattias Ståhlbom har tillsammans med
hantverkare (en fin hyllning till traditionellt hantverk) i Taiwan utforskat olika
lacktekniker och inspirerats att göra sina egna verk.
Detta har sedan resulterat i den kommande utställningen ”A New Layer” som
har premiär nu i november på Östasiatiska Museet i Stockholm.

I över 7 000 år har lack använts i Östasien och omfattar en stor mängd olika
tekniker och användningsområden.
Titeln, ”A New Layer” syftar på hur lacken appliceras, i lager på lager, tills den
önskade ytan och glansen till slut uppstår.
Utställningen visas på Östasiatiska Museet 12 nov 2014 -8 feb 2015.
